As a major public transport operator, Keolis Lille ilévia brought together its 350 employees in a new 4,300m² collaborative headquarters in Lille, symbolizing profound transformation. This office fit-out project, jointly delivered by Tétris and JLL, goes far beyond a simple relocation: it represents a significant cultural evolution for the company, with three key challenges: architectural to reflect Keolis' identity, organizational for the transition to flex office, and above all cultural, fostering new working methods focused on collaboration and conviviality.

Designing a new collaborative, sustainable and fluid headquarters

Keolis Lille ilévia wanted to design its new headquarters in line with its environmental and social commitments. The company now occupies two passive buildings, connected by a walkway, offering exemplary energy performance and very low consumption per square meter.
Tétris and JLL supported Keolis Lille ilévia throughout the project: organizational consulting, change management, design concept, technical engineering, fit-out, furniture selection and support during the transfer. The objective was to create a sustainable, flexible and friendly working environment, embodying the company's identity and facilitating cooperation.

A design concept inspired by transport and movement

Design at the service of collaborative fit-out

Tétris conceived a universe inspired by mobility, synonymous with dynamism and fluidity. The blue color, Keolis Lille ilévia's signature, guides the design, structuring the new workspace through graphic lines evoking urban networks.
The interior architecture promotes flexibility and agility, essential characteristics of new working methods and an environment conducive to cooperation.

The "Village Square": heart of exchange in a collaborative headquarters

At the center of the building, the Village Square constitutes a true social hub. Its "S" shape evokes movement: this space multiplies configurations, stimulating informal exchanges and creativity.
This signature space provides direct access to a landscaped terrace and connects the two buildings, making the Village Square the central hub of team cohesion.

Spaces adapted to every use

The new fit-out offers a complete ecosystem to meet every need:

  • Individual pods and collaborative rooms for spontaneous meetings
  • Modular rooms accommodating up to 20 people
  • Creativity and training spaces
  • Tea kitchens on each floor to encourage informal moments
  • An integrated wellness space for employee comfort

This configuration supports the transition to flex office, a major lever for performance and fulfillment.

Integrating sustainability at the heart of the fit-out

An eco-designed and circular approach

The headquarters fit-out embodies Keolis Lille ilévia's commitment to CSR and circular economy:

  • Use of bio-sourced materials for flooring
  • Creation of local furniture from recycled wood via a reintegration workshop
  • Reuse of 20% of furniture through Tétris Re-Use offering
  • Partnership with Valdelia (approved eco-organization for professional furniture collection and recycling, Tétris partner in the Re-Use offering) for second life of non-retained furniture

Indoor green spaces provide wellbeing and comfort while improving air quality, consistent with the building's energy performance.

Technical engineering for comfort and performance

The project mobilized advanced engineering to combine design and user wellbeing:

  • High-performance acoustic treatment
  • Intelligent lighting with presence detection to limit energy consumption
  • Open technical ceilings for a contemporary atmosphere
  • Modern audiovisual equipment in meeting rooms
  • Automatic blinds and heat recovery system for optimal indoor environment management

These choices guarantee occupants ideal working conditions in terms of visual, acoustic and thermal comfort.

A success based on collaboration

Participatory approach

The fit-out was based on a collaborative approach bringing together JLL, Tétris and Keolis Lille ilévia teams. Internal ambassadors structured needs and validated proposed solutions, ensuring coherence between working methods and new spaces.
Participatory workshops and site visits enabled smooth support during the transition to flex office and new uses implied by a collaborative working environment.

Project coordination and rigor

Thanks to constant communication between all stakeholders, the schedule was maintained despite the complexity of the construction work. Regular exchanges guaranteed delivery of the headquarters within the allocated timeframe.

An exemplary headquarters for new workspaces

Delivered according to schedule, Keolis Lille ilévia's headquarters embodies excellence in sustainable, flexible and collaborative fit-out. This environment improves team wellbeing and strengthens a dynamic corporate culture based on cooperation.

This project illustrates the complementarity of Tétris and JLL:

  • Tétris, specialist in space fit-out and sustainable design
  • Together, they create a workspace where design, sustainability and innovation become the foundation of success.
