Ackee's premises offer a functional design that reflects the company's brand of a firm providing successful mobile and web apps and helping clients digitise their business. Ackee chose the BLOX office building in Prague 6, which is designed to meet the most stringent sustainability criteria and aims for the highest BREEAM certification - Outstanding.
The interior of Ackee's new offices thus had to be designed and built in a way to relate to the building's amenities and to meet the same sustainability criteria.
The main aim of the refurbishment was to use as many of the original elements from the previous tenant as possible, while using all the existing furniture, including all the glass and aluminium partitions from the original Ackee offices.
The entire layout of the space and the new design of the offices had to be adapted to the dimensions of the partitions and their style. Even the colour scheme of the new space had to match the original Ackee furniture (of which 99% was used and recycled). The shades of blue and pink are based on the company's brand and its logo. The challenge for the designers was to combine a multitude of furniture styles and colours to give an overall interesting and welcoming feel.
The result is an almost cosmic look to the offices, which play with colour and which perfectly reflect the philosophy of an IT company developing new software applications.
