SBM Offshore’s new Corporate HQ: An airport lounge-inspired workspace
SBM Offshore partnered with Tétris for the second time to redesign their Corporate Headquarters at The Base complex near Schiphol Airport. Building on their successful Rotterdam collaboration, Tétris created an innovative office space inspired by premium airport lounges.
The SBM Lounge Concept
The design features three distinct areas:
The Waiting Lounge creates a sophisticated reception area for visitors, offering a welcoming first impression.
The Business Lounge facilitates collaboration and informal meetings in a flexible, comfortable environment that accommodates various team sizes.
The Focus Lounge provides dedicated spaces for video conferences and concentrated work, designed with acoustics and privacy for deep focus.
Design and Materials
Warm, high-quality materials reinforce the lounge concept throughout the space, creating an inviting atmosphere while maintaining corporate professionalism. The material selection balances aesthetic appeal with functional durability.
