Glovo's new Milan headquarters is located in one of the city's most innovative and futuristic neighbourhoods, within the Giardini D'Inverno residential complex where, in addition to elegant housing solutions, part of the spaces are destined for commercial businesses open to the community.
We have incorporated into the local architecture and culture the concept design that Glovo brings to life in all its locations around the world to enhance its brand identity and convey a sense of community and belonging to its employees wherever they are.

Solution

To reflect the young and dynamic spirit of the Spanish start-up, we created a fluid, modern, socially engaging and comfortable workplace.
The design of the new headquarters, which combines an industrial style with dynamic and lively elements with strong visual references to the company's values such as bright colours, graphics and murals on the walls, and the iconic riders' backpacks scattered here and there to decorate the premises, was conceived to promote inclusiveness and aggregation, accessibility and well-being without neglecting the sustainable aspect to contribute to a positive impact on the environment.
To support Glovo's goal of having locations running on 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030 to reduce the carbon footprint, we have committed to significantly improve the environmental performance of the space by installing certified, circular and durable materials, ergonomic furniture, and solutions that improve acoustic and visual comfort by making the most of the rooms' natural light.
The numerous workstations alternate with a series of varied environments. There are ample social spaces and lounge areas dedicated to relaxation and enjoyment alongside quiet zones of concentration; a library area, more discreet and reserved phone booths, a silent room for those who need to momentarily isolate themselves from the hubbub of the office without renouncing interaction with colleagues, meeting rooms of various sizes, and the traditional individual and collaborative open-plan workstations that help the various teams come together.
The centrepiece of the space is a multifunctional technological auditorium. This open space, which goes by the name of Agora, is characterised by a wooden staircase with comfortable, colourful cushions, and like a large piazza it is able to welcome and connect the entire corporate population for plenary meetings and corporate events in presence or video conferencing. The soft-touch curtains that enclose the space and the movable furniture allow for an agile remodelling of this multi-purpose area that communicates directly with the cafeteria and bar space, fostering moments of socialisation while having a coffee or taking a lunch break. Each work station is enriched with natural corners to respond to people's growing need for contact with nature. Examples of this are the numerous green elements integrated into the furnishings and the outdoor terrace, overlooking an internal garden, which invites people to take a break in the open air and do some healthy exercise.

            <p>Tétris has carried out the project through the design&amp;build approach developing for the client a refreshed brand identity thanks to a reorganization of the exisitng offices.</p>\r\n
            <p>The working space is organized on one floor divided in two different building wings, both composed of an open space, meeting rooms and informal areas that merge into a common recreational hub located in the middle of the office. <br />\r\n
            A domestic atmosphere inspires the concept design: wooden finishes, concrete PVC floorings and soft furniture are used to create a comfortable and lively smart office where ergonomic and linear workstations with neutral tones coexist with playful pieces of decorations as pillows, carpets, colored seats and a foosball table.<br />\r\n
            The transparency given by the glass partitions makes the environment fluid, permeable and interconnected. These elements combined with unique and vibrant mural decorations, realized by a local artist in a popart style, give a new identity to the office without losing the focus on the client’s brand.</p>\r\n
            <p>For the entire duration of the onsite activities, that lasted few weeks without causing any interruption of the working activities, the client representatives were deeply involved in the decision process for the choice of materials, furniture and textures.<br />\r\n
            The good results of the project have led to the signature of a global agreement between the client and Tétris that has been appointed for the realization of other offices worldwide.</p>\r\n

            <p style="text-align: justify;">Tétris has realized the space planning and the interior design of the new Engie Headquartes, located in via Chiese 72 in the premises of Bicocca district, a historical and industrial area of Milan.</p>\r\n
            <p style="text-align: justify;">With a surface area of approximately 12.000 sqm and developed over six floors, the Headquartes has been realized with the intention to foster and increase cohesion, efficiency and harmony of the working spaces as well as of the staff in terms of productivity and well-being. The offices have been designed taking into consideration the modern principles of smart working and in accordance with Engie’s dna – a reality leader in the energy sector – and the sustainability features of the new building, which brings the signature of studio Park Associati and awarded with the LEED Platinum certification for New Construction – Leadeship in Energy and Environmental Design.</p>\r\n
            <p style="text-align: justify;">The Tétris team, made of architects, interior designers and space planners, has completely revisited the interiors to enhance a horizontal mobility separating the different working environments and alternating common areas dedicated to relax and social networking. The idea was to create on each floor a conceptual agora where it is possible to generate interpersonal relations in order to accelerate decisions and discussions. The connection between the different spaces (the central spine and the connected spaces) is obtained by giving a specific functional identity to the collective and support areas whereas the dynamism created along the central spine is highlighted by the extensive use of colours on the glasses and friendly and warm materials in the internal spaces.</p>\r\n
            <p style="text-align: justify;">To ensure people a high level of comfort and the possibility to work in a flexible, creative and interconnected way, the office has been organized in <strong>72 support spaces</strong> which include: <strong>16  smart &amp; fast meetings</strong>, for agile meetings that require the availability of monitors and Skype connection, <strong>14 lounge meetings</strong> for informal meetings, <strong>13 brainstorming spaces</strong> for sharing ideas and opinions, <strong>11 touch down and dynamic rooms</strong> for fast meetings, <strong>8 concentration rooms</strong> to really focus on the mission, <strong>7 phone booths</strong> for phone and conference calls without interferences and <strong>3 relax areas</strong>.</p>\r\n

            <p style="text-align: justify;">Tétris has designed and realized a project with a contemporary look&amp;feel where Micro Focus values and image are immediately perceptible.</p>\r\n
            <p style="text-align: justify;">The design&amp;build approach has been applied since the architectural and plant design continuing for the full installation of the works and with our team having a complete knowledge of the client’s requirements who had an active role in the concept developing and space planning phases.</p>\r\n
            <p style="text-align: justify;">Brand identity and comfort are key elements of the new headquarters where traditional open spaces alternate with flex areas more oriented to a smart and agile ways of working and living the workplace.</p>\r\n
            <p style="text-align: justify;">To adapt the space to different kind of use we have created open spaces, individual offices, meeting rooms with different capacities and refined with movable partitions, in addition to support areas available to the employees as phone booths, brain storming rooms and lounge areas equipped with writable boards. To complete the office a spacious break area and a reception have been furnished with made to measure joinery.</p>\r\n
            <p style="text-align: justify;">The working space are brightened by the natural lights coming in thanks to the installation of high glazed partitions whereas the comfort is ensured by the installation, in the informal areas, of acoustic materials which serve also as a decoration.</p>\r\n
            <p style="text-align: justify;">All these elements combined together have participated in delivering a modern office featured by primary colors and neutral graphics inspired to the client corporate identity, creating a brand experience among the employees that feel like part of a same Group attentive to the staff well-being.</p>\r\n
            <p style="text-align: justify;">The Design&amp;Build process adopted by Tétris enabled the team to deliver the project on time and on budget, being the guarantee for the client to benefit of a complete turnkey offer during  all the project phases. The soft-touch curtains that enclose the space and the movable furniture allow for an agile remodelling of this multi-purpose area that communicates directly with the cafeteria and bar space, fostering moments of socialisation while having a coffee or taking a lunch break. Each work station is enriched with natural corners to respond to people's growing need for contact with nature. Examples of this are the numerous green elements integrated into the furnishings and the outdoor terrace, overlooking an internal garden, which invites people to take a break in the open air and do some healthy exercise.</p>\r\n

    <p>To reflect the young and dynamic spirit of the Spanish start-up, we created a fluid, modern, socially engaging and comfortable workplace.<br />\r\n
    The design of the new headquarters, which combines an industrial style with dynamic and lively elements with strong visual references to the company's values such as bright colours, graphics and murals on the walls, and the iconic riders' backpacks scattered here and there to decorate the premises, was conceived to promote inclusiveness and aggregation, accessibility and well-being without neglecting the sustainable aspect to contribute to a positive impact on the environment.</p>\r\n
    <p>To support Glovo's goal of having locations running on 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030 to reduce the carbon footprint, we have committed to significantly improve the environmental performance of the space by installing certified, circular and durable materials, ergonomic furniture, and solutions that improve acoustic and visual comfort by making the most of the rooms' natural light.</p>\r\n
    <p>The numerous workstations alternate with a series of varied environments. There are ample social spaces and lounge areas dedicated to relaxation and enjoyment alongside quiet zones of concentration; a library area, more discreet and reserved phone booths, a silent room for those who need to momentarily isolate themselves from the hubbub of the office without renouncing interaction with colleagues, meeting rooms of various sizes, and the traditional individual and collaborative open-plan workstations that help the various teams come together. <br />\r\n
