This high-growth leader in medical technology needed a space to support its UK expansion and a new hybrid working policy that significantly increased office attendance. Previously split across multiple floors, the team faced limitations in collaboration, efficiency and culture.

The vision was clear: establish a unified, single-floor headquarters that would not only accommodate rapid growth, but also provide a destination workplace where people would choose to connect, innovate and thrive.

A comprehensive workplace transformation

Tétris partnered with JLL’s Agency and Project & Development Services teams to guide the medical technology leader through every stage of their new London workplace.

The collaboration included strategic space planning, interior design and fit-out, alongside furniture specification – ensuring the client’s new headquarters was tailored to their ethos and ambitions from day one.

Leveraging Tétris’ design, furniture and delivery expertise, the solution has provided both a visual and functional upgrade, built around flexibility and the future of work.

Collaborative design partnership:

The team worked hand-in-hand with the client and JLL teams, delivering an integrated and people-centric workplace solution tailored to the needs of the medical technology business in the Greater London area. This seamless partnership ensured the project reflected the drug delivery technology leader’s vision and operational requirements from inception to completion.

Light-filled, inclusive workplace design:

The interior design focuses on creating a calm, open environment with abundant natural light and impressive city views. White glazing mullions enhance brightness and foster a positive, airy office atmosphere, while features ensuring accessibility and DDA compliance make the space truly inclusive for all users.

Subtle brand integration and unique touches:

The design employs subtle and sophisticated branding. Carefully selected purple accents create a unique identity without compromising comfort. This approach ensures that the office is both authentic to the brand and welcoming to all.

Premium, fit-for-purpose office furniture:

Furniture was procured for long-term durability, ergonomic support, and visual cohesion. The client’s team visited showrooms in London to assess options firsthand and provide direct input on finishes, ensuring all choices met budget requirements without compromising quality. The final selection – including height-adjustable desks, multi-functional ergonomic chairs, and bespoke meeting tables – was fully approved by the client.

Flexible, multi-use workspaces:

Modular meeting tables and stackable chairs on wheels enable easy reconfiguration for collaboration, events, and training. Wireless portable power packs eliminate cable clutter, while acoustic pods, including a DDA-compliant pod, provide private and accessible zones for focused work or confidential conversations.

Ethical disposal and move management:

With a commitment to sustainability, Tétris oversaw the ethical disposal of legacy office furniture, issuing formal recycling certificates and facilitating donations to London charities when possible. Complete move management and rapid-response labour services ensured a smooth, stress-free transition for the client at every stage.

Realising business ambitions through integrated delivery

This project demonstrates the strength of integrated teamwork and diligent planning. The global medical device company’s new single-floor London headquarters unifies all staff in one space, greatly enhancing collaboration and enabling more agile, dynamic ways of working.

Tétris collaborated closely with stakeholders to meet strict deadlines and ensure the design supported future business growth. Flexibility is built into the scheme – for example, offices can be converted into meeting rooms and work settings can adapt over time – positioning the company for seamless expansion as their growth continues.

Even employees previously designated as fully remote have actively chosen to return, drawn by the welcoming, accessible, and thoughtfully designed environment.
