Karl Storz, renowned for advanced medical instruments, sought an office design that would reflect their innovative spirit and human-centric approach.
We created a space that showcases the contrast between the neutral hospital environment and the vibrant world where Karl Storz products shine.
The design needed to emphasize collaboration, focus on people, and incorporate the company's signature blue color in key areas.
Solution
We designed an office that balances contrasting elements and prioritizes human interaction. The space is divided into three zones: a quiet focus area, a collaborative meeting space, and an informal interaction zone. We incorporated pops of blue in areas where teamwork thrives, symbolizing Karl Storz's role in bringing diverse skills together.
Our design goes beyond functionality, creating a vibrant hub that promotes productivity, creativity, and well-being. Every aspect has been carefully considered to enhance the human experience.
Like Karl Storz instruments in skilled hands, this office space is crafted to inspire, energize, and uplift its occupants, fostering a sense of community and driving performance.

<p>IPG Mediabrands was looking for a ‘home’ for several owned businesses in Amsterdam. This ‘family of companies’ requested a modern working environment which stimulates creation, innovation, collaboration and spinoff from each other’s’ businesses.<br />\r\n
Tétris used a ‘family tree’ as metaphor where each of the separate businesses is able to show its own identity, keeping in mind they are part of this giant parent IPG Mediabrands and be able for pollination between the different companies. The office has enough space for the employees to pull back and work alone in perfect silence</p>\r\n
<p>Because of the minimal time scheme in which IPG Mediabrands needed to be in the office, Tétris designed and constructed the office almost at the same time. Thanks to the cooperation and perfect synergy between client, landlord, contractors and Tétris we were able to design and construct this project within schedule.</p>

<p>After a collaboration process of one-and-a-half years, Tétris has now completed the new offices of the <a href="https://www.cocacolanederland.nl/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Coca-Cola </a>Company (CCC) and bottler <a href="https://www.cocacolaep.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Coca-Cola European Partners</a> (CCEP). A total of four floors were designed and constructed in a building at the forefront of sustainability and smart technology.</p>\r\n
<p>A climate ceiling (radiant panel) ensures optimal comfort and the use of LED lighting and heat-insulating glass translates into lower energy use. Thanks to the collaboration with Workplace Strategy and Tenant Representation from <a href="https://www.jll.nl/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">JLL</a><strong><u>,</u></strong> as well as the productive cooperation with project developer <a href="https://www.ovgrealestate.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">OVG</a>, Tétris knew exactly what kinds of requirements Coca-Cola wanted not only for its employees, but also for the building. </p>\r\n

<p><span class="title-5"><strong>Inspiring work environment</strong></span></p>\r\n
<p>The most important guiding principles for the new office were connectivity, inspiration, creativity and transparency. This was a design challenge because Coca-Cola Company was used to operating in a closed working environment without flexible working arrangements. All of the floors now only have open workstations.</p>\r\n
<p>To assist the client in adopting this new work approach, Tétris’ parent company JLL prepared a workplace process and change management plan. Workshops, training courses and brainstorming sessions helped determine the practical needs of the employees.</p>\r\n

<p><span class="title-5"><strong>Open mobility-based work environment</strong></span></p>\r\n
<p>Both the Coca-Cola Company and European Partners opted for an open mobility-based workplace concept with a range of formal and informal workstations. The various workstations meet the needs of employees and vary in their degree of privacy, concentration, interaction and nature of activity.</p>\r\n
<p>But the focus of everyone is on collaboration. This approach is also taken in the connected open spaces, viewing holes between the departments, numerous flexible workstations with (informal) seating and two open spaces that connect the three CCEP floors.<br />\r\n
The vertical lines in the design emphasize and strengthen connectivity. On the ground floor, the companies have a shared entrance, experience room and conference centre and the rooftop terrace on the 7th floor can be used by all employees.</p>\r\n

<p><span class="title-4 title-5"><strong>Strong brand identity Coca-Cola</strong></span></p>\r\n
<p>The strong brand identity of Coca-Cola is reflected in the furnishings and use of materials and colors. Warm colors give the design a homelike look & feel. The extensive use of steel reflects the rugged and bold character of the brand, as well as the city in which it is located: Rotterdam.</p>\r\n
<p>Two bars have been created: the Tasting Bar on the ground floor, where employees can sample new products regularly, and the comprehensive Horeca Bar on the 8th floor. The two custom tribunes on the 8th and 10th floors are designed for small and / or brief meetings. But the fun side of Coca-Cola is also incorporated into the building in the form of a Fanta Play Room. </p>
