Nestled in the oldest part of Rome, the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel - a luxury brand of the Minor Hotels Group recently making its debut in Italy - is located in Piazza della Repubblica and boasts a fascinating architectural history with original elements commissioned by Pope Clement XI for the Vatican in 1705. The building is suspended over the ancient Baths of Diocletian, with its excavated foundations, pools and mosaics visible on the lower floor.

The hotel's 232 rooms and suites feature different configurations and styles, blending the charm of antiquity with the comfort of modern facilities. The interior design ranges from contemporary to neoclassical, creating a relaxing atmosphere: the perfect base from for exploring the charms of one of the world's most impressive cities.

Our team completed the civil and plant engineering works for the revamping of this five-star hotel.

Renovation of a hotel with historic charm

Solution

The project, which covered an area of 8000 sqm, was completed in 15 months during which the structure continued to be operational.

The renovation included the refurbishment of many of the building's rooms as well as the complete construction of three exclusive new Anantara suites.

In addition to the room floors, the work also involved several common areas of the property, including the hotel lobby, which features a sophisticated and refined design, the breakfast room and the restaurant on the ground floor.

The transformation of a portion of the top floor included the ex-novo construction of a SPA and wellness area and the renovation of the rooftop terrace - one of the largest in the city - which houses a new elegant Lounge rooftop bar and the SEEN by Olivier Da Costa Restaurant, furnished in Art Nouveau style, with an unparalleled view of the city skyline.
